Growing Together . . . A Place for All

The people of Zion gather for weekend worship to connect with each other and with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Visitors and guests are always welcome at any of these gatherings.  Each worship service follows a theme based on readings from God's Word.  Special services are scheduled for special church festivals and seasons.

Holy Communion at Zion

As Lutherans we believe that we receive the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in, with, and under the consecrated bread and wine of Holy Communion.  We invite those baptized Christians who confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, who believe He is truly present to give us His body and blood with the bread and wine, and who resolve to part from sin and devote their lives to His service in the church, to join us in celebrating Holy Communion at the Lord's table.

Children who have been baptized and who have received formal instruction in the meaning of Holy Communion may also receive the Sacrament.  Those who have not been baptized and formally instructed are invited to come forward for a blessing.  If you have questions, ask a pastor or a lay minister.

We follow Jesus' example and instructions and serve unleavened bread and wine.  Grape juice is available for those unable to drink wine.

Children and Worship

of God belongs to such as these."
