Zion's ministry is not confined to
the campus on Davis Road. By purpose and design Zion is
involved in reaching out with the message of love and salvation
in Jesus Christ through a number of avenues. Some of them
are spotlighted on these pages:
• The Alaska Mission
for Christ reaches out to people
in remote villages and towns in Alaska. Zion people join with
others from across the country in many ways. This agency
cooperates with the Lutheran
Association of Missionaries and Pilots which flies people
into these remote areas.
• Zion was one of the charter member congregations
of Love INC and cooperates with other churches in providing help
to the needy of the local community. The Fairbanks Rescue
Mission also benefits from Zion's support.
• A growing number of Zion people have gone to Honduras to reach people living in poverty. This mission was sparked
by a Zion member's concern for others.
• Counseling services are available through the services
of the Samaritan Counseling Center. Several staff members
have direct connections with Zion.
