The Samaritan Counseling Center
A Christian Ministry Serving Northern Alaska

There are times in our lives when it grows very dark - not only in the months of November, December, January, and February but also when loss, family conflict, chronic illness, and spiritual anguish hide the sun. At these times it is valuable to have a professionally-trained person you can trust. A person who will listen in depth, understand without judging, and provide the professional support you need to meet life's challenges.

Samaritan Counseling Center is a Christian ministry serving northern Alaska to bring about mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. Our mission is:

  • To recognize and affirm the value of every person as a child of God.
  • To provide high-quality services to the greatest number of persons possible.
  • To serve persons from varied financial means while maintaining a reputation for providing high quality service regardless of one's financial station.
  • To ensure continued service by achieving and maintaining well-being and quality of life for all staff.
  • To provide educational resources for the community.
  • To provide consultation and training for clergy and other professionals.

"May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in Hope ..." (Romans 15:13)
