Good Shepherd Communities has
served people with disabilities for over 40 years. One of the ways
of acknowledging God's goodness and His blessings is by designating
a specific Sunday to join together in celebrating successes, challenges,
and opportunities of this ministry in His name.
Zion has a Good Shepherd Auxiliary whose members sincerely invite you
to join them in this special ministry. There are no regular meetings.
The requirements for membership are that you are a Christian and that
you pay dues of $5 per year. The Auxiliary's purpose is to raise funds
for the residents of the Good Shepherd Homes. All of the money we gather
goes to our brothers and sisters of Good Shepherd. They purchase things
of their choice which will enhance their daily living.
The major fund-raiser is the annual Christmas Bazaar. Crafts, quilted
items, woodworking, jewelry, and food items such as jellies, candies,
and baked goods will be on sale. During the rest of the year craft
cabinets are stocked with items for purchase as a benefit to Good Shepherd
residents. Campbell's labels also are saved and forwarded to
Good Shepherd headquarters for redemption.
