Dear Members and Friends of Zion:
November 24th and 25th, is our congregation's Consecration Sunday, the culmination of an emphasis on Christian stewardship called Consecrated Stewards . It will be the focus of our attention during the next few weeks. I urge you now to attend two very special events on that day: Saturday night at 5:00 as well as Sunday morning worship at the 8:30 and 11:00 services and a Celebration Luncheon at 12:30 in the sanctuary.
The spiritual-growth-oriented process culminating in Consecration Sunday is designed to enrich our biblical understanding of Christian stewardship. Rather than focusing on the need of the church to receive, the experience concentrates on the need of the giver to give for his or her own spiritual development.
We believe you are concerned enough to attend on Consecration Sunday and make your financial commitment as an act of worship in the church sanctuary.
No one will call on you in your home for a pledge. But we will contact you personally to secure your commitment to attend services during Consecration Weekend and the Celebration Luncheon at 12:30 on the 25th of November.
We also want to urge you to be present for the Consecrated Stewards Bible studies currently being offered on Sunday mornings. We especially urge you to attend the special Bible study on November 25th, which will be led by our Guest Leader, Ryan McIvor.
Please keep this effort in your prayers that God will bless it as a time of growth.
